Our Mission

At Staten Island BFF Dog Training, our mission is simple: to help dogs and their owners build clearer communication, stronger relationships, and better lives together.

We believe good training should be practical, fair, and built around the individual dog and owner in front of us. Every dog is different. Every owner is different. Training should reflect that.

We believe in under-promising and over-delivering. We would rather earn your confidence through results than make promises before we’ve had the opportunity to work with you and your dog.

Most importantly, we believe client training is just as important as dog training. We want you to understand not only what to do, but why you’re doing it.

There’s nothing we’re going to ask you to do with your dog that we haven’t already worked on and taught your dog to do. We’ll do our part first. Then we’ll teach you how to continue that work successfully on your own.

A dog behaving for a professional trainer is not enough. The real test of successful training is what happens when the trainer isn’t there. That’s why we put so much emphasis on teaching you how to communicate with your dog, recognize what your dog is telling you, and understand why certain training methods work.

We don’t just want to help you build a better-trained dog. We want to help you become a more knowledgeable and confident owner—because ultimately, the relationship that matters most isn’t the one your dog has with us. It’s the one your dog has with you.

The more you understand your dog, the better equipped you’ll be to communicate clearly, solve problems, build confidence, and maintain the behaviors you’ve worked hard to create.

We don’t want your success to depend on having a dog trainer standing next to you. Our goal is to give you the knowledge, tools, and confidence to continue succeeding long after we’re gone.

Because eventually, we want you not to need us.
